What is First Aid Training?

First Aid training teaches learners how to recognise medical emergencies, provide immediate assistance and stabilise an injured or ill person until professional medical help arrives. The course combines theory with practical exercises, including CPR, bleeding control, burns, fractures, choking, shock management and casualty assessment. First Aid training helps employers prepare designated first aiders to respond confidently to workplace emergencies while supporting occupational health and safety requirements.

What You Will Learn: 

• How to assess an emergency scene and prioritise casualty care
• CPR and basic life support techniques
• How to manage choking in adults and children
• Wound care, bleeding control and bandaging
• Recognising and treating shock
• Managing burns, fractures and sprains
• Responding to medical emergencies (e.g. seizures, fainting, poisoning)
• When and how to escalate to emergency services

First Aid Training Summary

Learners who successfully complete the course and are found competent receive a First Aid certificate suitable for workplace compliance.

How is the First Aid Course Assessed?

Learners complete both theoretical and practical assessments throughout the course. Assessment activities are designed to confirm that learners can apply First Aid principles confidently in realistic workplace scenarios. Certificates are issued to learners who are found competent.

First Aid Certificate 

Learners who successfully complete the course and are found competent receive a First Aid certificate. Urgent certificate requests can be accommodated where required.
