• The functions of fire detection methods/systems are explained. 
• The types of instruments used for fire detection are described in accordance with specified requirements. 
• The role of physical senses in the detection of working place fires is explained according to specified requirements. 
• Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to fire preparedness. 
• The importance of fire fighting, escape and rescue procedures is explained.
