  at height Safety training is not just for companies who want their staff 
 to be compliant. In many cases private learners what to become qualified i
 n working at heights with a certificate to enhance their CV. Often times c
 ontractors need the certification for themselves. FTS Safety's public clas
 ses are an easy opportunity to get a working at height certificate in a si
 ngle day. Our Cape Town venue has plenty of safe parking behind a gate and
  with a security guard on duty. Lunch is included in the course price. Pub
 lic classes are more interactive. You have candidates from various compani
 es and industries all joining together so the questions are interesting an
 d you get additional insight into the risks in different industries. The q
 ualifying learner is capable of:Explaining the use and limitations of a li
 mited range of fall arrest equipment and fall arrest plan.Inspecting\, ass
 embling and storing fall arrest equipment.Selecting suitable anchor points
 .Using fall arrest systems with a double lanyard.Using pre-installed verti
 cal and horizontal life-lines. As working at height is a high risk exercis
 e you should also be medically fit and in possession of a medical certific
 ate\, declaring you free from a condition that may prevent you from workin
 g safely at height What should you bring?A copy of your ID documentSafety 
 shoes or bootsA harnessAppropriate clothing for climbing on ladders or sca
 ffolding on a worksite Your certificate will be emailed within 7 days. If 
 you require proof that you have attended immediately please let the course
  facilitator know on the morning of training.
